Okay I am ambiguous about her build. Her scalings are actually pretty high enough to build her for ATK, Crits and Effect Hit rate. She will be difficult to build ngl
DoT doesn’t need Crit, you can get enough Effect Hit Rate/break effect from substat, lightcone, and set effect, no need to get effect hit rate/BE from main stat, i personally will go full atk% and lightning dmg bonus because it’s the most flexible
Yes I know, but her ult has a good scaling and for her follow up attack, crit would be pretty nice. I am thinking of going most main stats ATK but for chest piece either CRate or CDMG
new kafka be doing up to 88k+ damage with just pela and tingyun. Totally not bad for a nihility path and satisfying when the dot detonation occurs..
Against 3 opponents – the boss and her two flowers. So against 1 opponent it’s 29k
Yes, that’s how aoe dmg works. My himeko can only reach 70k dmg at most. So im excited when we got the free yukong next patch, her offensive buffs are lit.
Anyway, Boss alone kafka do up to 60k+ then theres still the 20k dot tick when boss turn comes.
If i want to build Kafka Dps, what lightcone is the best for her?
Her signature lc
So, I need some advice – if I still use Serval with her, then how should I equip these two. It is clear that both want an Electro-set, but what about the characteristics?
Is it possible to put a body-crit on a Serval, given how weak its own Serval dot is relative to the damage of its skill and ult, or necessarily atk-body?
Do I need to wear speed boots on Kafka/Serval/both?
Atk, engergy or beak in a rope?
Yes, I already understood from the comments that Serval and Kafka don’t mix well, but still these two are my favorite characters and I want to try to play them together.
The team is likely to be: Kafka Serval Wolf Bailu.
I’m interested in the answer too, I wanna play se same team (minus Bailu I don’t have)
I’ll keep my Serval the way she is
4p Lightning set with Crit body and Atk boots. I aim for 121 speed with substats, I lack 7 points but I’m working on it (still no good 5* hand and body piece so still farming and hoping a few speed subs)
2p Sealing Station with Lighning dmg and atk% (maybe Break effect would be better in this team ?)
For Kafka, I’ll go with the same 4p relic set with Crit body and speed boots. For planar I don’t know which one would be better yet, I think I’ll go with Dmg and ERR.
just to jumpboat on your question,
how does Kafka and Serval Shock ailments interact with each other?
1. Does is override the older one that if Kafka shocks, then Serval shocks, does Serval’s remove Kafka’s?
2. Does the older one stays. In the above scenario, if Serval shocks, it does not affect Kafka’s earlier shock?
3. Do they give 2 different shock icons?
– Dots from different characters hang independently from each other. The Kafka / Serval team will have two independent Shocks from the abilities of Kafka and Serval, dealing the damage from atk that is written in the description of their skills + several Shock from break.
There will be a maximum of 5 different Shocks in such a team: 2 from the abilities of Kafka and Serval + 3 from break Kafka / Serval / Bailu (although it will not be easy to break 3 different characters to break on the same opponent)
Serval with its ult prolongs the duration of any Shock – its own and someone else’s, from skills and break, and with normal rotations can maintain this duration indefinitely.
I hope I answered your question.
I built my Serval with Crit stats. I luckily got Jing Yuan’s LC which gives some crit damage. Serval herself has crit rates on her traces. I think it’s a waste not to give her a crit build or at least a hybrid break and crit build.
I think both should have spd boots. Specially Kafka who would benefit with more times to trigger the DoTs.
Do you have Serval on E2? If so, break effect rope should be great on her. A break adds its own shock debuff, which Serval can extend with her ult. Serval still pretty ok with Kafka since the later can only apply shock through technique and Ult.
Crit stat on body still the better choice on Serval even though its lackluster since you basic attack twice after skill to proc E2 and technique. Defo speed on both! With Serval on break duty, you can leave atk rope on Kafka.
Obviously haven’t done the math if its optimal, but Kafka + Serval isn’t optimal to begin with, but I plan to run it too cuz waifu lol

Any ideas which artif-; Relic sets will be nice on her?
the lightning set. gives lightning bonus and atk, good for Dots
for Planar, the ATK set or the Break effect set
Wait for Black Swan
will black swan be better than kafka or good synergy for kafka???
I would suggest you don’t worry too much about a character that’s probably at least 10-12 months way.
Based on the unconfirmed leaks so take it with alot of salt. She’s most likely have synergy with kafka. She has aoe def shred like pela. And unlike pela, she is Wind.
I think she’s ok, they gutted some stats but now she just needs no more than 20% EHR to guaranteed the shock from technique and ult, considering you don’t care for crits, normally getting hit rate/break/attack stats it’s quite easy.
Hadn’t seen anyone mention it here but has anyone seen the potential Banner leaks for Blade and Kafka?
Blade: Arlan, Natasha and Sushang
Kafka: Luka, Sampo and Serval
Maaaaaaaaaaaaaannn… I’m REALLY hoping Hoyo doesn’t pull the rug under me on this one because Kafka’s banner looks absolutely VALUE town if you are intending to play her designed comp: DoT. If you were planning on playing Hypercarry, well hopefully you get her early and you can bounce, LOL. But good lord, I’ve been saving my jades and potentially my devotion has paid off?! I started a little late on HSR but I’ve played Genshin from Day 1 and there has never been a banner THIS good (to me) I’ve never had a banner where there are 3 4-star characters I wanted to pull for while aiming for 5-star. At most it’s been like 2, for me.
Like it makes sense to me but it’s one of those “if it’s 2gud to be true, it’s probably not true” (call me cynic) But yeah if this is true we may see “Eyes of the Prey” and “Resolution…” on LC Banner which would be hella value too. I especially want “Resolution…” for a Sampo Build I’ve been TC’ing, so I may also go for Kafka LC despite the nerf to it, lol we’ll see…
So… is there not a single female character that she would work well with? Only Sampo and Luka?
Serval.
Almost useless…
She imposes a very weak DoT – 104%, against, for example, 260% for Sampo, and this is even without taking into account the Break DoT, which for Shoсk is one of the weakest.
She does not buff either Kafka or other members of the squad in any way.
Eidolons does not buff DoT damage in any way, unlike other DoT-dps.
etc.
Serval is an extremely mediocre partner for Kafka, which is literally several times weaker than Sampo /Luka for team with Kafka.
Natasha – 10/10 would heal again
Silver Wolf
Honestly some of you people should just go play NIKKE instead lol. I mean I love my waifus too, but Jesus Christ.
You can play her with Silver Wolf and Natasha. There, that’s three females and one male. Then you can wait for Guinaifen, for your full waifu team.
The guy really just proudly offered to put 4 different elements in the Silver Wolf team, lol.
Maybe you should just go play tic-tac-toe. Although perhaps even this will be too difficult for you to understand.
won’t be bad.
I mean,
up to 13% res shred
8% def reduction along with atk and spd reduction
another 45% def reduction
All of which applies to every element.
Wait for Black Swain
Tingyun.
ATK and Dmg bonus for more DoT(regular DoT not break DoT) damage.
More energy for more frequent Ultimates.
She normals a lot so she can trigger Kafka’s follow up more often, which also contributes to faster breaking.
*Natasha / Bailu for heal
*Pela / SW – judging by leaks, they are no worse for her teams than DoT unit
*So far, you’re using Serval or Tingyun. It will be noticeably worse than Sampo or Luka, but it will still work quite acceptably. You wait until Guinaifen or Black Swan appear – most likely Guinaifen will appear much earlier, and Black Swan will have to wait a long time.
Kafka simp moment: trying to convince everyone that nerf is a buff and that making a character dependent on eidolon is absolutely right, “just get E2 otherwise you are not worthy to play on this character”
ma man is being delusional lol 😀
