n/a | Former Sword Champion of the Luofu, and the reason behind the Cloud Knights' mythical reputation of implacable might. Now, her name has been wiped from the records, and she is a traitor of the Xianzhou walking on the fine line between sanity and mara-struck. |
n/a | A sword, 3 feet and 7 inches in length, that weighs nothing. It was not forged from any ordinary iron, but condensed from a shaft of sharp ice. It glowed with a dim light, as if it were a sliver of moonlight held in the wielder's hand. "A sword, 3 feet and 7 inches in length, weighing about 7 catties. Hold it in your hand, and stab the sharp end towards the enemy." With a gentle flip of her hand, the woman in armor called her sword. As if alive, the sword lept out of the weapon rack, sliding into her grasp and out of its sheath in one fell swoop. The blade then stabbed into the air beside the girl, humming intently. "You got that yet? If so, go fight the most common war beasts the borisin use in their ground forces. Once you've killed ten Bloodshot War Wyverns, I'll consider your first lesson completed." She remained silent, her eyes darting left and right. This was her first time stepping out of the ward since being rescued, and the first time ever in her life she had touched a weapon known as a sword. "I have dismissed the healers and helpers. They won't come to you without my orders." "The calamity in Cangcheng left few survivors. I don't know what you've been through before the rescue arrived... But I don't want to see you wallow in past horrors like this for the rest of your life." "It's okay if you don't wanna talk. You can speak with this." "You can use this to vanquish the monsters that took everything from us. There are now few things as wondrous as this left in the world." The woman in armor remained composed, her gaze cast onto the long sword by the girl's side. The mirror-like blade showed her reflection. Then, a swarm of razor shards swirled up in a tempest, dragging the girl into her past — In the dimly lit sky, the demonic planet named Rahu was wailing and singing, hurling towards everyone with lands and mountains ablaze. On the streets, people were screaming, writhing and rolling in apocalyptic despair, as the golden tendrils sprouted and grew feverishly in every orifice of theirs. She watched everything unfold, paralyzed. Her organs felt like they were boiling. Something suddenly surged and churned in her Core Esse, like a ripe wheat grain about to burst out of its husk and swell to infinity. The mountains hurling towards her face made her realize, she was but a mayfly, about to perish at the mere flick of an Emanator's fingertip. In that split moment before death claimed her, she grabbed the only thread she could hang by. A sword, 3 feet and 7 inches in length, weighing about 7 catties. |
n/a | A sword, 6 feet and 5 inches in length, weighing This is a Cloud Knight greatsword that must be wielded with both hands. Its edge contains enchanted fire that can split open the mechabeast's inert armor at the moment of contact. There are She was still unfamiliar with the way of the sword. She still had lots to learn. The woman in armor had no time to teach her more before the woman was tasked with leading the army on the field. Therefore, the girl's second lesson is to be learned on the battlefield, taught by the enemies she would fall. "Stab" is easy, but swift monsters won't run into the sword's tip on their own or let the girl execute them. That is how she learned "slash." "Entangle" is next. Against monsters with overwhelming strength, the girl learned how to parry with the back of the sword to deflect enemy attacks. She believed she had learned enough of the sword and therefore leapt onto the mechabeast war pawn "Gigantes" that dwarfed her at least ten times over. She broke all the swords she brought with her and only managed to leave a few dozen cuts on the opponent's gigantic body. She was whacked away by an enormous hand. Lying in the blood-soaked mud of the battlefield, she was once again swallowed by horror. In that split moment before death claimed her, she finally understood that even the art of swordplay had its limits. An arrow filled with blazing fire blew off the Gigantes' head. "Get up." The woman in armor looked at her. "I don't want to learn the sword anymore. It's... useless." "Useless? It's pretty useful in my hands. It is the wielder who was useless." "..." "If you don't learn the sword, what do you want to learn? The alchemical arrows on the pilots' starskiffs? The blazing fire flung by divine crossbows? Or... The artillery of the Zhuming Xianzhou? Such instruments would also be enough to destroy that demonic planet. You want to learn about them? Fine. Those things can kill the enemy even from beyond visual range." "...I just don't understand why you insist on teaching me the sword!?" "From the general to the smallest pawn, every Cloud Knight starts by learning the sword. "The various constructs provided by the Artisanship Commission can certainly kill the enemy for you, but those deeds are to the merit of the material rather than the person. If there comes a day that the quivers run empty, that the starskiffs crash, that the aurumatons freeze — Who will protect you and I, then? Who will protect the Xianzhou? "Hold this sword. Remember, it would not be a true fight for humanity if Cloud Knights didn't wield swords and march onto the battlefield themselves. Rather than letting ingenia do the work for us, we will show our final victory to those inhuman abominations by our own blood and prowess!" The woman in armor turned and departed, leaving the girl and the broken sword in the training room. A sword, 2 feet and 1 inch in length, only its broken fragments remained. |
n/a | A sword, 5 feet in length, weighing as heavy as three thousand catties. The ebony blade shimmers with a sanguine sheen. The sword was forged from the nonstop tempering of extraterrestrial ores, a complete deviation from conventional weaponry. Untamed and unyielding, the sword mirrored the defiance and hubris of its short-life species creator. Once, she had only swords as her companions, but now she found herself with many friends. The day she was crowned as the Sword Champion, the craftsman attended the ceremony in a black garb and cast out the sword he bore. The sword sank deep into the ground, leaving only its hilt above the soil. All attendees were shocked. "Only the Sword Champion of the Luofu Cloud Knights can tap into the full potential of this sword I have crafted." He gave a toothy grin. The high elder of the Luofu, as haughty and detached as the high moon in the sky, felt an irresistible temptation to duel with her upon witnessing her peerless martial prowess with just one simple glance. The spear and the sword sparred for many years without a conclusion, until she cleaved ocean tides in twain with a single slash in the Dragonvista Rain Hall, and finally won the high elder's concession. A well-traveled Nameless who had flown across the cosmos had steered vessels for her, bringing divine nectar from the other side of the universe to share with her, and gazed upon the scintillating stars by her side. "I will cut down even the stars in the sky." She still vaguely remembers the boasts she made in moments of inebriation. That burning planet rushing towards her in childhood memories, that horrible nightmare that wouldn't let her go — those scenes are no longer so terrifying. This is the first time she understands what "wanting to live" means in all her years of wielding a sword. Before this moment, she was simply someone ready to die. And there was her student. She recalled the first time they met. This young but devious child had asked the same questions as she did. "Master, why do you insist on wielding a sword? There are thousands of weapons out there that can kill an enemy. If you want to destroy that planet, the Zhuming can probably do it with its artillery." "This is like asking a poet why they wrote poems. There are many ways to express oneself, but this is the only way for me." Now, he has also become a shining star amongst the Cloud Knights. She doesn't have a master anymore. The woman in armor perished on the battlefield and can instruct her no longer. Nor does she need a master anymore. She knows everything there is to know about swords. They are a part of her body. They are the intake and release of her breath as she walks and sleeps. People call her the Transcendent Flash, the pinnacle of swordmasters, a once-in-ten-millennia hero. However, she knows that her sword is still not enough to "cut down the star in the sky" — Even if she is holding the greatest sword in all the Xianzhou... A sword, 5 feet in length, weighing as heavy as three thousand catties. The ebony blade shimmers with a sanguine sheen. |
n/a | A sword, 5 feet in length, weighing as heavy as three thousand catties. The ebony blade is covered in cracks and the tip is broken and lost. Amid the countless wars, she wielded this sword and, alongside her comrades and disciple, battled her way into the vast ship, decapitating the wolf-like head of the borisin Warhead. She also climbed the sky-piercing flying citadel, clipping the wings of the Feather Guards. She fought the iron cavalry of the Houyhnhnm, sealing all the riders of the six-legged steeds into prison... Whichever way her sword swung, no abomination could escape death or imprisonment. She had never expected she would point this sword at her lifelong friend. She gasped, barely holding her wounded body together. Far away, deeper in the delve, there came the anguished roar of a dragon, as if pleading for death. She watched as the arrogant craftsman fell into the mud, and walked up to him like a wraith. "I should kill you first... but you will have your own torment to bear for all eternity..." She pointed the broken sword at the high elder. "Impossible. The Preceptors said... The blood of my race and the soul of my ancestor should have created another high elder. All this... It shouldn't be like this." "If your death can return everything to how it was, I would do it... But you need to tell me right now where that dragon's weak point is." "The top of its head..." The half-draconic abomination swam through the air in blasts of lightning. Its body, enough to swallow the very horizon, sundered yet another floating isle. Its wails were as loud as the clamors of a thousand clashing swords. She felt her Core Esse boiling, like a ripe wheat grain about to burst out of its husk and swell to infinity. She saw herself trapped in childhood nightmares again. The ominous planet is swallowing her overhead, and she, but an insect, cannot even struggle. The woman tore off a spread of black silk from the edge of her skirt and covered her eyes. The thunder struck. She leapt up with her sword towards the draconic abomination. In a dreamlike illusion, she felt her flesh surpass its limits, beginning to disintegrate. It was as if innumerable silken threads bound her, taut across every limb and bone, each one slicing through the last vestiges of her consciousness, bit by bit. Suddenly, she heard those words: "I will cut down even the stars in the sky." At that moment, she finally grasped the sword she had been seeking all this time. It was a sword that can transcend all restrictions. It was a sword she had been familiar with for years. It was not forged from any ordinary iron, but condensed from a shaft of sharp ice. It glowed with a dim light, as if it was a strand of moonlight held in the wielder's hand. A sword, 3 feet and 7 inches in length, and weighs nothing. |

Jingliu is decent but easily replacable. Don’t believe lies and clickbaits saying she’s “godly unit,” this is a gacha game.
Her capped ATK boost by 180% of her base atk at Lv10 when she enters her special state, it limits her power pretty much.
Ex: Base ATK 1300
Current ATK 3200
Max you can get is +2340
3200 + 2340 = 5540 ATK (no team buff)
Around 4000-4500 attack only often times, since we’re less likely to get the highest bonus.
Practially.. HoYoverse tries to limit a character’s future usability to make players pull for better future characters, as a gacha game should do.
no shit Sherlock.
you barely need half of her power to clear content so no fcking cares if u do 200k or 300k when all you need to do, is 50k..
Decent is decent, and 5 stars is surely a valueble ally in your team, even having a Seele is much better than having Tingyun in your team right. try put all the 5 stars limited in your team and you’ll still do well since your team is build around “quaility units”
But her attacks have the best sound design in the game! For real though, I think Jingliu not spending much SP is a point in her favor, same as Blade. She should be easy to use with a support like Bronya while still letting other units use their skills. NotALeak used her with Bronya and Pela, for example.
honestly the action advancement, crit rate, and low SP cost in respect to how much she acts are what seals the deal more than the atk buff she gets, that’s kinda just flavor
As per history, she’s pretty much the second coming of Cocogoat girl.
you mean Eula and no It’s not because of the element. HSR Cocogoat was DanIL all along. That Batk is pretty much a charged attack that just doesn’t care about weaknesses, especially since hsr has no elemental immunity.
With 3 teammates with 3k hp you will get 1944 max atk bonus, so its very likely you will get somewhere around the max bonus,
Another way to think about it: for every 300 base attack JL has, you need 2500 hp in your other party members to max the attack boost. 1200 BA would need 10k hp across your teammates, for instance! A very reachable goal with even minimal team building.
” Current ATK 3200 Around 4000-4500 attack only often times, since we’re less likely to get the highest bonus” – to get the 800 atk bonus that you call “only often times”, your supports must have less than 1300 HP – this is less than any character with LC who is not wearing any one relic… If you’re trying to troll, then try to seem more believable next time.
you are trying to limit the character as “replacable” when your main point is atk to hp conversion, i am going to set an example with a character in genshin that many people like very much, hu tao, counting that she has homa with a em sands, she can get 35k easily with 2 hydro, her crowned E converts around 6.3% of that max hp, she gets around 2100 attack.
NOW talking about jingliu, if every character you have equals to 3k hp (all my characters have that hp with only the helmet and level 70 w/o any artifacts buffing hp, so REEEEEEAAAALLY reachable) and one of them is a HP scaling unit such as natasha, bailu, lynx or fu xuan (that basically are required, since other than loucha and gepard, they are the only characters that heal/mitigate damage) you can get up to 3888 (if the passive didn’t cut it off, jingliu 4k, any other characters 3k, hp scaling character 8k).
imagine calling a character REPLACABLE when it behaves almost the same way as HU TAO, but it can get MORE ATK WITH HER HP, you are a dumbass

True, but its apply to most of the character in the gacha games. The problem with her is her skill set is sooo weird, and quite complicated. Thats the reason i think, why someone like blade will hold candle in the long run compares to her. And thats the reason why easier character is always the best way to invest. If, for whatever reason people want to do other things thats fine and no one should mock anyone to do that.
But since shes just a product, its quite subpar because how weird her kit is. Easier playstyle like Selee(high speed ez), Kafka(can be good subdps/ break enabler), Blade(tanks + high dmg + high HP + Selfsustain). It just offer much more to the table.
You use Skill over and over and over and over again, that’s it.
It’s about as complicated as DanIL, you press the dmg button and win, because haha 200k damage per skill funny
Does anyone know if it really gains speed in the tracks that say prob crit (speed) ?
She does gains 2, 3 and 4 speed via traces, it was changed during the 4th week of beta I think, crit rate traces became speed traces.
Not crit, but ice dmg%
Is she same tier as Lunae or could she even be weaker than Blade or Kafka?
You say that like Blade and Kafka aren’t great…
As of now she seems on par with Seele on ST at E1, so she sits around Blade and Kafka at E0, which is really good already, and her free 50% CR means that she’s vastly easier to build than most Crit reliant DPS character.
For DHIL, it was said multiple time already, but in AoE scenario, he’s on another planet, and the release of Hanabi getting closer, if her leak kit doesn’t change, only solidify his position as the meta character for 3+ Targets.
IL can casually do 200k AOE at E0 if he’s built well, which makes me cry as a JL wanter
On Par with Seele on ST? My calcs give her an edge over Seele. in ST by a large margin. Cacled at E0S1 for both. Both of them are using signature sets ofc. And around 80-90% of DHIL’s ST dmg.
Didn’t redo my maths on ST so the margin for error is quite high there, but I looked up the CN TC to see how DHIL, Seele, and Jingliu compare to each other at E0 in ST and apparently, they all are on the same page, but she’sstill behind by a bit against Seele and DHIL, so who knows let’s wait and see for proper calc at release.
She’s definetly not weaker than Seele
Your calculations are quite strange if you think that DHIL = Seele in ST. DHIL is much stronger than Seele in ST, even if the enemy has a quantum weakness. This has been calculated and tested in practice many times, both by the Western community and CN. Only Seele-simps can argue with this and then rather sluggishly – the difference is too big to be denied.
If Jingliu is weaker in ST than even Seele, then she is a character purely for her fans, without any practical value – something like JY. Also, according to CN calculations, she was already not much stronger than Blade before her buff. It turns out that according to your calculations, she became weaker after changing her kit, since now you put her at the Blade level?
Honestly, it looks like Seele simp’s copium.
“than even seele” not you trying to make seele look weak
Then go tell that to the CN community, this is the data coming from them, not me.
And I said on the same page, don’t mean equal, they are close to each other at around 10+-%, which relate to 25k on a 250k DPR, if 10% is much stronger, you do you, unless I see a 1.25x gap, that’s still reasonable. (DHIL’ AoE being almost 1.5x the damage of others AoE characters, is what I call a gap.)
Apart from that, you can keep your Seele copium to yourself, I don’t need it, and I’m still enjoying Clara.
how good will her sig lc be on DHIL?
Well, in one hand, you have DHIL LC with whom you have an easy 100% uptime on the passive, and then, on the other hand, you have Jingliu LC which is unreliable to everyone not called Jingliu, since you have to let the enemy act to get charges and pray you don’t act with only 2 stack, or you lose that sweet defense shred, by the way, you can go as low as 0% uptime if you already kill everything before they act to a 100% uptime, which mean TTK is too high and everything hits you.
In short, no, it’s not bad per se, but it’s not good either on DHIL.
Does anyone have some lightcone suggestions?
My Clara and Dan Heng IL are already using the Herta Shop lightcone and I found none of the 4* satisfying for Jingliu…
Secret vow is comparable with the Herta LC for Jingliu.
comparable? i’ve seen some calcs for it being better, since she’s geting tons of att already and cant rly rely on the second part of its passive…
Secret vow is better than Herta LC at S5, but it’s also harder to get. And its second passive is not reliable too. So both would be ok.
For me, S1 Clara LC for Clara, S5 Herta LC for DHIL, S1 Secret vow for JL and waiting for S5.
i think from what i saw, s3 is enough to pull ahead.
ye true, but it’s 30 smth unconditional dmge % vs att that gets diminishing returns..
i also sadly have aeon and fkng s3 (managed to get IL’s) so I’ll wait for better calcs, on the end, hoping ot isnt wasted lol
Could Jingliu LC be better best in slot for other destruction characters?
She’s the only one that can reliably proc the defense shred part on each attack, so no, Blade has his BiS LC, same for DHIL, and Clara’s running DHIL LC.
For Arlan, I don’t have any calc for him, but Blade’ LC should be the best for him, as for Hook, I don’t really know.
should i use sprightly vonwacq and err rope so i can use ult more often, there i can stay in buffed state longer?
ERR + vonwacq is 24.44% ER
You start fight at 70 energy.
2 Skill (70 + 40 x 1.2444 = 119.776 = 120) > 1 E-Skill (120 + 30 x 1.2444 = 157.332 = 157) > ult (6 refund) > 2 E-skill (6 + 60 x 1.2444 = 80.664 = 81) > 2 Skill (81 + 40 x 1.2444 = 130.776) > 1 E-skill (168.332) > Ult (6) > 2 E-Skill (80.664)
So you can ult every rotation with that build, but let’s go with ERR + Rutilant since that 20% damage is a lot since she got shafted on her ice damage traces :
2 Skill (70 + 40 x 1.1944 = 117.776 = 118) > 1 E-Skill (153.117) > ult (6) > 2 E-Skill (77.664) > 2 Skill (125.776) > 1 E-Skill (163.932) > ult (6) > 2 E-Skill (77.664)
Litteraly same result, but lower damage for the ERR + vonwacq, you can ult every rotation with or without vonwacq but in one case you have 8% CR, 20% NA Damage and Skill damage since you’re running rutilant.
ah i see, tysm
S5 Herta or S1 signature cone?
64% attack at max stack + 12% dmg (conditionally) vs 30% crit dmg + a ramping dmg% buff that reset every 4 turns
I think her signature is technically better by a small margin, but she gets a lot of crit dmg from traces (and relics) so you reach the point of diminishing return very fast. And because I’m running speed boots, the Attack% from Herta can supplement the attack stats.
Also the Signature cone can technically activate when she doesn’t have out of her buffed state since it rotates every 4 turns while her kit rotates every 5 turns?
Unless I’m missing something her S1 seems not worth it compared to S5 Herta
Copium. If you don’t have enough jades just don’t pull it. Theory crafters have already shown how much stronger her signature is.
so u trying to prove desparately that Jingliu is not worthy as Herta e5? lol
just like some ppl compare qingque e6 and seele e1, make non sense after all but shown that ur miserable
Bruh, he is talking about Light Cones, Jingliu’s Signature VS Simulated Universe Shop
BLIND detected
bruh blind
Don’t forget 1st part of Herta LC take time to build up, and 2nd part does not activate at all if enemy has no ice weakness, and even if they do, it has short uptime.
Jingliu LC is not ramping, it is just instant max stacks (pre-dmg buff) as soon as she use enhanced skill and immediately dispel when the skill end (after dmg is dealt), and can activate right again for the next enhanced skill. Best part of that cone is the hit that ignore DEF, this stat is huge!!
As of now, her LC is calc’d at around 120~125% expected damage of Herta S5 LC, sure, she will work with Herta LC, but saying her LC is better by a small margin? damn, no, it’s not even a competition between the two.
What can I say more, you don’t even understand how her LC passive work, so I’m not even gonna argue with your take.
Assumptions:
Jingliu has only link rope as ATK% and a modest 16.8% ATK subs (to be an even 60%), and no flat ATK subs other than lvl 15 hands (+352).
Jingliu has lvl 10 traces, which provide 200% x 2 base skills, then 600% ultimate and 500% x3 enhanced skills in Syzygy, vs 3 enemies.
Jingliu has full 180% ATK buff from Syzygy, at the above is approximate 84% effective damage uptime.
Ignoring the weakness buff on On the Fall of an Aeon, as it is highly inconsistent that non break-effect built character will be the one breaking.
I Shall Be My Own Sword gains on average only 1 Eclipse stack buff per turn.
Opponent is lvl 90 and Jingliu is lvl 80, resulting in a 12% DEF ignore buff being approx a 6.7% dmg multiplier.
On the Fall of an Aeon (S5): Base ATK = 679 + 529 = 1,208.
With 4 stack buff: 1,208 * (100% + 60% + 180% * 84% + 4 * 16%) + 352 = 4,884 average effective ATK
As Ice: 4,498 * (100% + 38.8%) = 6,779 average effective Ice ATK
I Shall Be My Own Sword: Base ATK = 679 + 582 = 1,261.
With no buff: 1,261 * (100% + 60% + 180% * 84%) + 352 = 4,276 average effective ATK.
Average Eclipse buff = 1/3 * 14% + 1/3 * 28% + 1/3 * 42% * (100% + 6.7%) = 28.94% average.
As Ice with Eclipse buff: 4,276 * (100% + 38.8% + 28.94%) = 7,173 average effective Ice ATK
As above S1 Sword is better by approx 5.8% without taking into account the 20% CRIT DMG, or getting hit multiple times a turn,
or having allies that hurt themselves like Blade, or that triggering Syzygy will stack Eclipse 3 times allowing a guaranteed full buff hit on ultimate.
Also note that ally buffs will provide proportionally less value to a S5 Fall than a S1 sword, due to a lower base ATK, etc.
Thank you for being the only one that answers the question without being hostile. I was pretty confused about how her signature actually works, but now with calculations it looks way stronger.
why are you averaging the Eclipse buff as 1 stack per turn? It will always be at max stacks for every Enhanced Skill.
JL gets the def ignore buff on every Eskill she uses. It’s her Ultimate that can’t reliably get max stacks
What planar Ornament set should I go for her? Jingliu seems like she would benefit from Rutilant Arena.
Rutilant Arena is great since she meet the requirement with ease (only needing 8% CR subs or Fu Xuan)
easily rutilant arena only needing at the very least 25 crit rate subs with cd body because of enhanced state. I still think it’s good to have a bit more crit so your damage is still decently consistent despite not being in the downed state.
rutilant arena is by far the best option with cd body with atleast crit rate sub farming to reach the requirement when she goes enhanced state. would recommend trying 1:2 ratio when in enhanced state while trying to increase crit rate too. would help her having more chances to crit when downed state
How should I build Bronya for Jingliu? Less speed than Jingliu so Jingliu gets a turn and then Bronya gives her another turn?
build bronya so she has enough speed to go 2 times in a cycle.
Hyperspeed Bronya is the way to go
Well, there is a problem her Sword Champion trait. Let’s consider we’re using her technique to not make me more problems with calculations. So then for 137 speed Jingliu (if you know which speed will be yours, I may do calc for you) you need x speed Bronya:
1) 134-140. After Jingliu goes Bronya with her Skill (1:1)
2) 114-119. Bronya rotates Basic Attack and Skill (Skill uses after Jingliu)
3) 227-238. Hyperspeed Bronya, always Skill (1:2)
Actually no:
1) 134-136
2) 114-116
3) 227-232.
In my first comment Bronya with max speed just outspeeds Jingliu.
And I hate honeyhunterworld comment section for delaying comment post
