Character Details | Former Sword Champion of the Luofu, and the reason behind the Cloud Knights' mythical reputation of implacable might. Now, her name has been wiped from the records, and she is a traitor of the Xianzhou walking on the fine line between sanity and mara-struck. |
Character Story: Part I | A sword, 3 feet and 7 inches in length, that weighs nothing. It is not forged from any ordinary iron, but condensed from a shaft of sharp ice. It glows with a dim light, as if it is a strand of moonlight held in the wielder's hand. "A sword, 3 feet and 7 inches in length, weighing about 7 catties. Hold it in your hand, and stab the sharp end towards the enemy." With a gentle flip of her hand, the woman in armor called her sword. As if alive, the sword lept out of the weapon rack, sliding into her grasp and out of its sheath in one fell swoop. The blade then stabbed into the air beside the girl, humming intently. "You got that yet? If so, go fight the most common war beasts the borisin use in their ground forces. Once you've killed ten Bloodshot War Wyverns, I'll consider your first lesson completed." She remained silent, her eyes darting left and right. This was her first time stepping out of the ward since being rescued, and the first time ever in her life she had touched a weapon known as a sword. "I have dismissed the healers and helpers. They won't come to you without my orders." "The calamity in Cangcheng left few survivors. I don't know what you've been through before the rescue arrived... But I don't want to see you wallow in past horrors like this for the rest of your life." "It's okay if you don't wanna talk. You can speak with this." "You can use this to vanquish the monsters that took everything from us. There are now few things as wondrous as this left in the world." The woman in armor remained composed, her gaze cast onto the long sword by the girl's side. The mirror-like blade showed her reflection. Then, a swarm of razor shards swirled up in a tempest, dragging the girl into her past — In the dimly lit sky, the demonic planet named Rahu was wailing and singing, hurling towards everyone with lands and mountains ablaze. On the streets, people were screaming, writhing and rolling in apocalyptic despair, as the golden tendrils sprouted and grew feverishly in every orifice of theirs. She watched everything unfold, paralyzed. Her organs felt like they were boiling. Something suddenly surged and churned in her Core Esse, like a ripe wheat grain about to burst out of its husk and swell till infinity. The mountains hurling towards her face made her realize, she was but a mayfly, about to perish at the mere flick of an Emanator's fingertip. In that spit moment before death claimed her, she grabbed the only thread she could hang by. A sword, 3 feet and 7 inches in length, weighing about 7 catties. * Unlocked at Character Level |
Character Story: Part II | A sword, 6 feet and 5 inches in length, weighing This is a Cloud Knight greatsword that must be wielded with both hands. Its edge contains enchanted fire that can split open the mechabeast's inert armor at the moment of contact. There are She was still unfamiliar with the way of the sword. She still had lots to learn. The woman in armor had no time to teach her more before the woman was tasked with leading the army on the field. Therefore, the girl's second lesson is to be learned on the battlefield, taught by the enemies she would fall. "Stab" is easy, but swift monsters won't run into the sword's tip on their own or let the girl execute them. That is how she learned "slash." "Entangle" is next. Against monsters with overwhelming strength, the girl learned how to parry with the back of the sword to deflect enemy attacks. She believed she had learned enough of the sword and therefore leapt onto the mechabeast war pawn "Gigantes" that dwarfed her at least ten times over. She broke all the swords she brought with her and only managed to leave a few dozen cuts on the opponent's gigantic body. She was whacked away by an enormous hand. Lying in the blood-soaked mud of the battlefield, she was once again swallowed by horror. In that split moment before death claimed her, she finally understood that even the art of swordplay had its limits. An arrow filled with blazing fire blew off the Gigantes' head. "Get up." The woman in armor looked at her. "I don't want to learn the sword anymore. It's... useless." "Useless? It's pretty useful in my hands. It is the wielder who was useless." "..." "If you don't learn the sword, what do you want to learn? The alchemical arrows on the pilots' starskiffs? The blazing fire flung by divine crossbows? Or... The artillery of the Zhuming Xianzhou? Such instruments would also be enough to destroy that demonic planet. You want to learn about them? Fine. Those things can kill the enemy even from beyond visual range." "...I just don't understand why you insist on teaching me the sword!?" "From the general to the smallest pawn, every Cloud Knight starts by learning the sword. "The various constructs provided by the Artisanship Commission can certainly kill the enemy for you, but those deeds are to the merit of the material rather than the person. If there comes a day that the quivers run empty, that the starskiffs crash, that the aurumatons freeze — Who will protect you and I, then? Who will protect the Xianzhou? "Hold this sword. Remember, it would not be a true fight for humanity if Cloud Knights didn't wield swords and march onto the battlefield themselves. Rather than letting ingenia do the work for us, we will show our final victory to those inhuman abominations by our own blood and prowess!" The woman in armor turned and departed, leaving the girl and the broken sword in the training room. A sword, 2 feet and 1 inch in length, only its broken fragments remained. * Unlocked at Character Level |
Character Story: Part III | A sword, 5 feet in length, weighing as heavy as three thousand catties. The ebony blade simmers with a sanguine sheen. The sword was forged from the nonstop tempering of extraterrestrial ores, a complete deviation from conventional weaponry. Untamed and unyielding, the sword mirrored the defiance and hubris of its short-life species creator. Once, she had only swords as her companions, but now she found herself with many friends. The day she was crowned as the Sword Champion, the craftsman attended the ceremony in a black garb and cast out the sword he bore. The sword sank deep into the ground, leaving only its hilt above the soil. All attendees were shocked. "Only the Sword Champion of the Luofu Cloud Knights can tap into the full potential of this sword I have crafted." He gave a toothy grin. The high elder of the Luofu, as arrogant and aloof as the moon in the sky, even expressed a desire for competition just because he beheld her peerless skills. The spear and the sword sparred for many years without a conclusion, until she cleaved ocean tides in twain with a single strike at the Dragonvista Rain Hall, and finally won the high elder's concession. A well-traveled Nameless who had flown across the cosmos had steered vessels for her, bringing divine nectar from the other side of the universe to share with her, and gazed upon the scintillating stars by her side. "I will cut down even the stars in the sky." She still vaguely remembers the boasts she made in moments of inebriation. That burning planet rushing towards her in childhood memories, that horrible nightmare that wouldn't let her go — those scenes are no longer so terrifying. This is the first time she understands what "wanting to live" means in all her years of wielding a sword. Before this moment, she was simply someone ready to die. And there is her student. She recalls the first time they met. This young but devious child had asked the same questions as she did. "Master, why do you insist on wielding a sword? There are thousands of weapons out there that can kill an enemy. If you want to destroy that planet, the Zhuming can probably do it with its artillery." "This is like asking a poet why they wrote poems. There are many ways to express oneself, but this is the only way for me." Now, he has also become a shining star amongst the Cloud Knights. She doesn't have a master anymore. The woman in armor perished on the battlefield and can instruct her no longer. Nor does she need a master anymore. She knows everything there is to know about swords. They are a part of her body. They are the intake and release of her breath as she walks and sleeps. People call her the Transcendent Flash, the pinnacle of swordmasters, a once-in-ten-millennia hero. However, she knows that her sword is still not enough to "cut down the star in the sky" — Even if she is holding the greatest sword in all the Xianzhou... A sword, 5 feet in length, weighing as heavy as three thousand catties. The ebony blade simmers with a sanguine sheen. * Unlocked at Character Level |
Character Story: Part IV | A sword, 5 feet in length, weighing as heavy as three thousand catties. The ebony blade is covered in cracks and the tip is broken and lost. Amid the countless wars, she wielded this sword and, alongside her comrades and disciple, battled her way into the vast ship, decapitating the wolf-like head of the borisin Warmuhtar. She also climbed the sky-piercing flying citadel, shredding off the feathers of the Feather Guards. She fought the iron cavalry of the Houyhnhnm, sealing all the riders of the six-legged steeds into prison... Whichever way her sword pointed, no abomination can escape death or imprisonment. She had never expected she would point this sword at her lifelong friend. She gasps, barely holding her wounded body together. Far away, deeper in the delve, there came the anguished roar of a dragon, as if a cry seeking deliverance. She watches as the arrogant craftsman falls into mud, and walks up to him like a wraith. "I should kill you first... but you will have your own torment to bear for all eternity..." She points the broken sword at the high elder. "Impossible. The Preceptors said... The blood of my race and the soul of my ancestor should have created another high elder. All this... It shouldn't be like this." "If your death can return everything to how it was, I would do it... But you need to tell me that dragon's weak point right now." "The top of its head..." The half-draconic abomination swims through the air in blasts of lightning. Its body, enough to swallow the very horizon, sunders yet another floating isle. Its wails are loud as the clamors of a thousand swords clashing. She feels her Core Esse boiling, like a ripe wheat grain about to erupt out of its casing and swell eternally. She sees herself trapped in childhood nightmares again. The ominous planet is swallowing her overhead, and she, but an insect, cannot even struggle. The woman tears off a spread of black silk from the edge of her skirt and covers her eyes. The thunder strikes. She leaps up with her sword towards the draconic abomination. In an illusion that feels half like a dream and half like reality, she feels her flesh has finally transcended its limits and has started to disintegrate. There are restraints binding her like strings, tightly wrapped around her limbs and organs, slicing apart her final shreds of self-consciousness bit by bit. Suddenly, she hears those words: "I will cut down even the stars in the sky." At that moment, she finally grasps the sword she had been seeking all this time. It is a sword that can transcend all restrictions. It is a sword she had been familiar with for years. It is not forged from any ordinary iron, but condensed from a shaft of sharp ice. It glows with a dim light, as if it is a strand of moonlight held in the wielder's hand. A sword, 3 feet and 7 inches in length, and weighs nothing. * Unlocked at Character Level |

What planar Ornament set should I go for her? Jingliu seems like she would benefit from Rutilant Arena.
Rutilant Arena is great since she meet the requirement with ease (only needing 8% CR subs or Fu Xuan)
easily rutilant arena only needing at the very least 25 crit rate subs with cd body because of enhanced state. I still think it’s good to have a bit more crit so your damage is still decently consistent despite not being in the downed state.
rutilant arena is by far the best option with cd body with atleast crit rate sub farming to reach the requirement when she goes enhanced state. would recommend trying 1:2 ratio when in enhanced state while trying to increase crit rate too. would help her having more chances to crit when downed state
How should I build Bronya for Jingliu? Less speed than Jingliu so Jingliu gets a turn and then Bronya gives her another turn?
build bronya so she has enough speed to go 2 times in a cycle.
Hyperspeed Bronya is the way to go
Well, there is a problem her Sword Champion trait. Let’s consider we’re using her technique to not make me more problems with calculations. So then for 137 speed Jingliu (if you know which speed will be yours, I may do calc for you) you need x speed Bronya:
1) 134-140. After Jingliu goes Bronya with her Skill (1:1)
2) 114-119. Bronya rotates Basic Attack and Skill (Skill uses after Jingliu)
3) 227-238. Hyperspeed Bronya, always Skill (1:2)
Actually no:
1) 134-136
2) 114-116
3) 227-232.
In my first comment Bronya with max speed just outspeeds Jingliu.
And I hate honeyhunterworld comment section for delaying comment post
Jingliu, Bronya, Pela (E6) and Lynx (E4) should be a good team, right?
Yes it’s a good team but only 1 main issue; jingliu isn’t really a “tank” like blade or clara so if she gets the extra taunt from lynx skill her HP can go down fast so I would mostly rely on lynx burst to heal jingliu. But other than that it’s not bad just make sure lynx is able to solos sustain and has high enough HP
Jingliu would be great addition to my team. Since I have Gepard (E2), Luocha, Nat, and Lynx, I don’t think I need Fu Xuan right now. My DPS right now relies on Seele, Jingyuan, and Clara while SW, Kafka, Asta, Pela, Tingyun become my support
Does JingLiu hp consume give a stack to Blade’s retaliate?
Yes, it does
yes
what relics and mainstats do y’all recommend?
Ice Damage one that is paired with Wind.
Mainstats: Crit Dmg-Body. Spd-Boots. Ice Dmg-Sphere. atk% rope.
Substats: CritDmg=Crit Rate(til a 1-2 ratio)>spd>other stats
Is it? If you take Hunter of Glacial Forest set, shouldn’t you also take ER rope for stable rotation and using Ult more often?
Also do not CritDmg=Crit Rate(til a 1-2 ratio). Because Jingliu gain 50% Crit Rate in Spectral Transmigration, you want (Crit Dmg-0,5)/2=Crit Rate until 50% Crit Rate and you don’t want Crit Rate above 50% (if we take 2 skill in Spectral Transmigration and 2 out)
It’s 3x skill during transmigration, since you gain one stack from your ult. So you are currently only missing 5 energy per rotation and its up to you if you want to go for ER rope for that or bet on her defeating a foe / getting attacked. Personally, I will do the latter.
why not ER rope?
Assuming you ult right when entering her buffed state that’s:
5 energy from ult
90 energy from 3 enhanced skills
40 energy from 2 unenhanced skills
Which puts you at 135 energy, aka 1 mob kill, 1 weakness break or getting attacked once for the full rotation. Getting a ER rope is overkill because she only wants to use her ult in a very specific turn where she enters the buffed state.
Actually it’s the other way around enhanced skills only give 20 energy and unehanced give 30. So that’s 60 from 3 enhanced and 60 from the 2 unenhanced. That makes it 120.
No the energy part got change during last beta so it’s now the contrary, enhanced gives 30 and normal gives 20.
yeah they changed that
they made 30 from enhanced and 20 from unenhanced
thats why they recommend ERR rope before since its 20/20 energy for good rotation but with 30 on enhanced makes the ERR rope an overkill
You are confusing with “1 weakness break”, because without Thief of Shooting Meteor it does not regenerate energy
I would heavily focus Crit-dmg for substats as well. She gets 50% Critrate from her Talent. together with Rutilant and the base 5% thats alrdy 63% Critrate without any gear. So get between 7% and 17% critrate from substats, get enough speed for at least 134 in total and put the rest into Critdmg. With Atk% and Atk as they come.
Hey guys, I need help with relics, and teams (and characters that will be good for her to pull maybe?). I am not sure exactly what to be farming for anymore with all the complicated stuff I have been reading and researching. I am but a mere humble idiot, so I will be using on the fall of an Aeon for her lightcone, and planning on full maxing her out of course. As for the characters I have, to keep this simple for the recommendations of teams and on who to really go for that I will be getting, I have for five star and eidolons: bronya (e1), silverwolf (e0), welt (e0), kafka (e0), bailu (e0), and seele (e0).
And as for four stars and eidolons I have (only counting supports): asta (e6), yukong (e1), tingyun (e0), pela (e6), nat (e4), and lynx (e0).
Just let me know if mentioning what lightcones I have will help to help me with my build for jingliu. (And I am not going for her lightcone nor am I willing to pay). Also to make things a little easier as well, I have all four stars in the game for the time being. (eidolons as well, some I don’t, can mention if needed)
Honestly, with your current characters, you should be rolling for Fu Xuan, since having no tank at all is just a pain in the ass for higher difficulty content.
But if you dont care about that the glacial set is probably best on her and for teammates I would go for Bronya, Pela and Bailu.
I see I see, I honestly was thinking about getting fu xuan or IBL at the beginning since I had gotten kafka early and still had 70 pulls. But since I went for her lightcone I only had 10 pulls left from it unfortunately ^^;; (at this point after grinding and playing everyday, with my pity and wishes I have enough for 89 pity now). But still not a guaranteed jingliu, which is the only reason I am not pulling for fu xuan. I do have a sort of built preservation trailblazer and march, along with nat and bailu not max but very good still. They are all quite good, but obvs a character that can provide full coverage for my whole team would be helpful (Do you think if I get lucky enough to pull gepard on standard I should be fine in tank characters?).
But yeah I wish I could care, but I am hanging on a thread of maybe getting her or not rn :< glacial set it is o7 and should I keep going for rutilant arena then? (I farmed the glacial set maybe three times and got a crit rate body glacial set, with these stats: hp 71, atk% 11.6, def% 4.8, and crit dmg 12.3. Which I was happy about but everyone was saying that crit dmg body was the way to go. What do you think?). Also only reason I don't have much in relics is cuz I am farming other stuff, and I had recently finished my seele build (after using all power on kafka).
as for teammates yeah that works for me, bronya and bailu are built-ish so I just have to build pela. I don’t mind building pela at all and will definetely do so. I am just curious, in jingliu’s case would silverwolf not be too good for her then?
Silverwolf is better in general, but has mayor flaws with this team comp, at least compared to Pela.
First, with SW in your team you will have 4 different elements, which makes it difficult to hit the desired ice element weakness. And if the enemy already has it, then SW won’t provide any meaningful benefit to other teammembers, since JL is your only dps in this comp. Better get Pela and pitch the team against enemies who are ice weak in the first place.
Second, SW is only single target, while Pela and JL are multi target.
This is also why SW works so well with Seele, where both flaws don’t apply. Sure, she is a good alternative and I am no number cruncher to really solidify my claims, but I am sure I am making a good point here.
As for the body, sadly your crit body wont do much for her. With Rutilant Arena you will absolutely get over 100% crit and bad crit dmg stats in turn.
damn that sucks. Guess I have to keep farming and just give that piece to herta or something. I don’t have yanging and even then you don’t want a crit rate body piece for him as well right?
But yeah that sounds about right. Thank you so so much for the insight and help. I will take it all, and definitely build my pela soon. (Probably after jingliu pre-farming, bronya, and SW being build. Altho might prioritize pela first before SW).
Do you think in any scenario tingyun would be any good btw? Anyways, thank you so so much for the help!! I will have to farm a lot now haha, I wish everyone luck to get her!! <3
No Problem.
And Tingyun is probably one of her worst supports. JL doesn’t need an attack buff as much, since she gets massive attack by herself, and also doesn’t need the energy, since getting her ult up before getting two of her stacks only results in an energy loss, as you want to always ult during her special state.
Sweet Aeons those Eiliodons are insanity.
Does her skill in the Spectral Transmigration state also consume her hp? I’m farming the ice set but base on the answer I may switch to the new hp set (because farming for both crit rate and crit dmg is a hell of pain no matter what game we playing)
She only consume the HP of her allies
It played from attack % because it just doesn’t take HP away from itself. You should also consider the fact that you have an increased 50% crit chance.
just farm 4 Qua set and forget about CR.
You only need like 7% CR from subs to activate RA’s effect anyway.
4LD does nothing to Jingliu unless she gets hit
jinglu and fuxuan will work? you know Fuxuan mitiges damage 18%… so According to that, it will be less of an ATK buff?
Damage mitigation doesn’t apply to self damage
What Fu Xuan does do is remove the need for other HP scalers (she gives pretty much the full atk buff with just some other low hp units)
I don’t think there’s no synergy for them. Fu xuan already needs to baby sit the team with her having a very little heal while jingliu takes 8-12% every 2 skills as she takes health in enhanced state. Jingliu is potentially dealing more damage to the whole team than the enemy, unless jingliu can kill the enemies before the team dying then we are good but on paper its very bad.
does anyone know order of 1.4 banners and if its confirmed or not
Its Jingliu first then Topax after!
you got a source bro? i wanna believe you and i WANT you to be right but i need good info to make some crucial decisions
Based on all the drip-marketing we’ve received in the past, the order the units are revealed has always been the order of the banners. For instance, Blade was revealed before Kafka, and when 1.2 dropped Blade’s banner was first. Imbibitor Lunae was revealed before Fu Xuan, and when 1.3 dropped IL’s banner was first. Jingliu was revealed before Topaz, so it’s pretty safe to assume that Jingliu’s banner will be first in 1.4.
