n/a | A swordsman who abandoned his body to become a blade. Birth name unknown. He pledges loyalty to "Destiny's Slave," and possesses a terrifying self-healing ability. Blade wields an ancient sword riddled with cracks, just like his body and his mind. |
n/a | The only thing he could sense was a splotch of crimson in his sight and the taste of iron in his mouth. His limbs were unresponsive. — He must have died. "Do you remember?" He opened his mouth, lost, his voice as coarse as a savage beast's. The sound from his throat stopped abruptly as the cold, hard object penetrated his torso. Again and again, this repeated for thousands of times. How marvelous. When his muscle fibers tore open, he could hear the tiny sounds of tendons bridging and reconnecting. How marvelous. The monster in his body was being nourished, but he would let it grow into a massive beast. How marvelous. He had already lost all will to live, but his body regenerated without any consideration for his preferences. How marvelous. Before the sword pierced his body once more, he grabbed it with his bare hands and slowly stood up. "Do you remember now?" He met the woman's blood-red eyes, his mind still empty. — He was run through by the sword once again. "Remember the feeling of death, and bring it to them." Crimson resurfaced in his vision. He stared at the sword that killed him. The blade was broken in half and lying on the ground. "Rise, and let me kill you once more." |
n/a | The only thing he could sense was a splotch of crimson in his sight and the taste of iron in his mouth. His limbs were unresponsive. — He must have died. The black-haired young man shivered violently all over, but still clutched onto the spear in his hands. He had no dragon horns, and his reaction was slightly less mature than he remembered... But he would never forget this spear, these eyes, and how cruelty burst out from beneath the mirror-like emerald calmness. His wounds began to heal. His irises flickered and fixed their gaze at the boy once more. Without hesitation, the boy made another flourish with the spear... "That's it." The one who showed no mercy to enemies - was you. The one who single-handedly buried the beloved - was you. The one who almost led the place called home to its destruction - was also you. He fell down again. The teen pressed his hand against his own wounds and retreated, until he was no longer in the man's sight. "Before I witness your death in person, we will meet again, ███." |
n/a | The only thing he could sense was a splotch of crimson in his sight and the taste of iron in his mouth. His limbs were unresponsive. — He must have died. The monster swallowed him again, but this time, his enemy is not another person. The imposing armor stayed quiet. He was grappled and imprisoned within those pair of arms. The speaker was the woman with sunglasses. "Listen, I can always kill you again, otherwise I can't bring you back." Her voice was very gentle, and even the monster inside his body stayed silent to listen to her. "But I don't want to." The woman leaned down and whispered in his ear. It was a deal he couldn't refuse. "What do you people want?" "Is there anything more satisfying than seeing how the undying die? That's what 'he' said." The giant armor loosened its arms. "Destiny" was ahead, and he will be leaving with them. "Listen, Bladie, loosen up." "Listen, don't think about anything at all." He nodded. The woman walked to his side, smiling. Yet he thought her smile looked very sad. "Maybe someone left her before they could listen to everything she had to say," he thought. |
n/a | He could no longer see anything. He remembered that, decades ago, he came to the Xianzhou with a merchant vessel and was impressed by the superb craftsmanship of this place. The young man was obsessed to the point of forgetting to eat or drink, and spent his inspiration like he was running out of time. He forged hundreds of marvels, four of which were the most famous. The sword named Shard Sword was flawless in its make, its inky body glimmered with a sheen of sanguine. Only the strongest swordmaster on the Xianzhou could demonstrate the true meaning of this blade. The foxian girl once loosened three arrows simultaneously with her recurve bow in a dire situation, while still continuing to navigate the starskiff and laughing with the others. The black-haired man with dragon horns used his water manipulation abilities to rejuvenate his allies, and in the next moment he bound the water upon his spear and used it to run his enemies through. There was also the boy who kept bickering with him. Yet the moment the youth saw the Devastator Glaive, he grabbed it and never wished to part with it. Now, ██ had died. His first — and only — death. However, he was still here, his youth-like brain churning and thinking - thinking for all eternity. He thought about his hands that were no longer dexterous. The hands that could no longer forge another weapon. — But none of this mattered to him. From this moment on, that body will be the one and only "Blade." |

So Blade wants to be hit but have zero active or passive taunt other then the fact of being destruction? This is a major flaw specially since our only taunt giving unit March 7 does not work well with him.
It is important to understand that the path of destruction has increased agro.
But only by a small margin.
As of right now, at least from a power standpoint, I see no reason to pull for him. He needs dedicated supports in form of a taunter and proper buffer or debuffer, of which there are none.
I’ll save for Kafka, who at least already has good teammates.
Well now there is a character who just happens to heal, increase aggro, increase max HP and block debuffs (at e2)
I don’t understand why she released a whole patch later but Lynx is a great support for him
A good hypercarry Blade team would be: Blade, Bronya, Lynx, 4th slot (SW is an easy pick since the team only has 2 types.)
Oh also not taking hits isn’t a major detriment to him since he damages himself anyway, but its preferred if he does.
and that’s why people are waiting for Lunx
From what I understand from the kit Blade doesn’t want to be hit, he just wants to lose HP, his kit is all about losing HP and later sustaining it with the talent. Using his skill and enhanced BA he can lose 60% HP in 3 turns which would give him 4 stacks of his talent (if I understand the mechanic correctly) so one stray attack allows him to counter and sustain back some of his HP. Compared to Clara who heavily relies on being hit to do majority of her damage Blade (to me at least) is not limited to wanting to be hit since the main source of his damage comes from his BA and Ult.
How is his BiS Light Cone compared to Secret Vow and Something Irreplacable?
Urgent, for all fans of Blade and Klara! They changed the Lynx kit and now it is BiS heal for these two, especially for Blade:
Lynx /4 Star / Quantum / The Abundance
Basic Attack: Ice Axe Climbing Technique
Deals Quantum DMG equal to ?% of Lynx’s Max HP to a single target
Skill: Pickled Camping Tin
Apply [Excitement] to a single ally, which increases their Max HP by ?% based on ?% of Lynx’s Max HP, which lasts for ? turns, if target’s Current HP is greater than or equal to ?%, greatly increase their base chance of being targeted by the enemy. And make the target restore HP equal to ?% of Lynx’s Max HP + ?. [Excitement] can only take effect on the most recent target that was cast on.
Ultimate: Snow Field First Aid Knowledge
Dispels all debuffs on all allies, and restores HP for all allies equal to ?% of Lynx’s Max HP + ?.
Talent: Outdoor Survival Experience
While casting Skill or Ultimate, restore HP for ? turns. At the beginning of each turn, restore HP equal to ?% of Lynx’s Max HP + ?, for allies with [Excitement], restore additional HP equal to ?% of Lynx’s Max HP + ?.
Technique: Chocolate Energy Bar
Restore all allies HP equal to ?% of Lynx’s Max HP.
Traces
Advanced Reconnaissance: When an ally with [Excitement] is hit, Lynx will store ? Energy.
Technical Exploration: At the beginning of each turn, dispels debuffs on self.
Extreme Survivability: Whenever an ally is hit and their Current HP is less than or equal to ?% of their Max HP, Lynx’s Speed will increase by ?, which lasts for ? turns.
Lynx Eidolons
[Trekking with Ski Poles during Dawn]: When healing an ally with [Excitement], increase healing amount by ?%, this effect will also take effect on healing over time effect.
[Noontide’s Portable Stove]: Extend the healing over time effect from Talent by ? turns.
[Afternoon’s Avalanche Beacon]: Skill Lv. +2, up to Lv. 15; Basic ATK Lv. +1, up to Lv. 10.
[Bonfire Camping at Dusk]: When an ally with [Excitement] is hit, increase their ATK based on ?% of Lynx’s Max HP, which lasts for ? turns.
[Aurora Red Tea at Evening]: Ultimate Lv. +2, up to Lv. 15; Talent Lv. +2, up to Lv. 15.
[Cartography at Twilight]: The ally with [Excitement] will receive an increase in Max HP equal to ?% of Lynx’s Max HP, and increase their effect RES by ?%.
——-
Yes, you understood everything correctly – increase of Agro, max HP and mass withdrawal of debuff + on Eidolond increase of Atk + Effect Res. All this gives Lynx.
Lynx is a specialized support for Blade (and to a lesser extent Klara, but for Klara it is also better than March).
Sounds way too good for a 4 star character. Will see in the future if she stays the same but with low scaling
It seems that the price of this holiday of Blade and Clara simps is bad synergy with other characters. It is unlikely that anyone would want their Seele or general, who have just received a blow, to acquire an increased agro after treatment and be attacked by the entire enemy team on the next turn.
In order to be a good support for Blade and Clara, she sacrifices versatility in other squads.
In fact, it’s a pretty bad deal for most players, in my opinion.
But yes, for Blade, having a 4* alternative to Loucha, which may be even better, since not just heal, but also support is really a blessing.
This feels like a really bad way to “fix” a unit. So without Lynx Blade have to hope to get hit to be, while Clara can do passive taunt by herself? Genshin has showed us that units that needs other units to function usually flop. Your comparison of Goro is a perfect example of that. There a reason why most players dont like Nilou, Shennhe or Itto gameplay as they need others to work well.
It’s fun to judge “most players”… do you have the stats to back it up? Nilou is completely broken and is the fastest way to get 36*, Xiangling depends on Bennet, Tao depends on XQ and Yelan, Raiden mechanics are literally tied to squad members and so on.
Itto fails not because he is “specialized”, but because his team damage is too low to compete with meta-dps.
would like to add that lynx got a change at her skill now the agro part is conditional for units of destruction or preservation, other paths wont get agro when buffed
source yatta.top site
not to derail this into a genshin Convo but some of the units that have specialized teams are absolutely broken (nilou and Raiden for instance)
In addition to this there is early leaks of a future 5 star harmony character who works great with Blade. She is also Quantum which can allow 3 quantum and a wind with silver wolf.
Hanabi – 5* Quantum
Path of Harmony
Skill: Boosts a designated ally’s HP and ATK (This was changed to increase in HP based on Hanabi ATK) for 2 rounds, and Action Forwards earlier. The Action Forward effect cannot be triggered when this skill is used on Hanabi herself.
Ult: Restores 4 skill points to all allies. If skill points are full when restored, each extra skill point will add 1 temporary skill point, up to a maximum of 2. Allies gain a Mask, which increases the effect of Hanabi’s talent when triggered, for 2 turns.
Talent: When any ally consumes skill points, immediately increases their damage dealt. This effect cannot stack.
Technique: After using, restores 1 skill point to all allies at the start of the next battle. If skill points are full when restored, each extra skill point will add 1 temporary skill point.
This is extremely early so I’m scared that this will be changed but it looks like there may be a BiS Harmony character coming as well that generates skill points. Don’t look at the numbers as they will likely be changed ofc. Blade stonks going up
Does blade need cr/cd stat?
depend on your choice
salsotto build use CD/hp or speed/wind/hp
rutilant build use CR/speed/wind/hp
Yes, to make him shine as DPS you’ll need Crit C and Crit D… but keep in mind:
– New 4 pieces artifact set = +16% Crit C
– New 2 pieces artifact set = +8% Crit C
– If you go for his Lightcone = +18% Crit C
Just by that you can get 42% Crit C. Keep in mind that you want to have 70% crit chance to get the special effect from de new 2 piece artifact set.
May I ask something? I notice that on the website’s description, Blade’s talent stacks do not last only 3 turns anymore, is it a typo, or an actual change?
its not it actually become permanent
therefore speed blade are okay now
I mean It’s not like he’s gonna hurt himself every turn or anything
INTRODUCTION
So i made a very long but at least very accurate dmg calculation for Blade (±95%)
In this im considering if your pulling for is BS Light Cone (The Unreachable Side) with his BS relic set (Longevous Disciple and Inert Salsotto). (from my perspective)
For the substats of the relics im focusing in Crit D%, Crit R%, HP% and ATK%. But with a twist, every artifact has these substats BUT at the minimum % without the substats rolls. Just the main stat is lvl up
In this Dmg calculation im considering also in the traces that give him more dmg, all relics are lvl 12 5* category and for the skills this are lvl 4 for basic ATK, and lvl 8 for Skill, Ult and his Talent or Follow up ATK.
And for last him also considering the type of enemies your figthing against some of them have some RES to certain elements so i made 3 dmg calculations 1 is if all enemies have wind RES and the other 2 if they are weak to wind.
NOTE: I tried to make this “list” the most eye-comfortable as possible but it can get confussing so if you get really dizzy or in other case you dont really care about the math thingy just skip to the “DAMAGE CALCULATION” part and see the numbers lol.

So in conclusion from what i can tell, blade seems a very consistent aoe dmg dealer, skill efficient, and tankier unit, i dont think he surpases a big 1 unit dmg dealer like seele ( i still need to do more calculations) and im not the best one when we talk about meta so if you disagree about this in any aspect, make me know. Also if im wrong in any of the calculation i made please correct me if im wrong.
Overall i think Blade is a really good DPS if you really need wind coverage, and if not well thats your choice. Remember that the No.1 priority to pull for a character is if you like it .
I did some calcs on blade myself and think he’s just decent. He’s by no means very good or cracked or anything, he’s just alright. He does his job as a first wave clearer and sub dps well enough, being sp neutral and all. Overall he’s probably Low A tier or so
trying calculating it with the new planar if you really can calculated it then you know how good it is for him(yes hitting 80% crit rate are possible with and without signature light cone)
Yeah it can be really good if you are pulling for his LC, i think rigth now they lowered the crit rate needed for the set to proc from 80% to 70%.
But its gonna be really good if your Blade is well invested since not all playerbase can afford his LC getting to 70% is gonna be really difficult if you want the max damage.
Also i didnt consider it because it only buffs is BAtk Dmg and not his skill since it only enhance the dmg done.
There is the calcs.

If your getting really shty relics i really dont recommend it since this set only can be really good if you have near perfect relics to get the desired crit rate
Hello. But by the reckoning, Salsotto will still win the set, right?
He looks amazing and skills are great too, BUT…
My big reason for not pulling him is how strong his signature light cone looks. Feels like it will be very much needed. I don’t see any good 4 star/free replacement as of now sadly. It’s even worse than Jing Yuan because at least there are some “good enough” even if not amazing replacements. And I simply can’t afford to pull on light cone banner 🙁
Am I wrong? Is there any F2P good weaopon for him?
Pull the lc, it’s not as hard as Genshin and the dps units from this game are worthy giving them their signature.
If I pull his LC I’m not getting Kafka so… Yeah nope. I need Kafka home too.
Also I am against Hoyo making LC’s too overpowered. Maybe Genshin spoiled me.
Not F2P but at least not a 5 star, A Secret Vow is pretty good with him
secret vow?
Arlan’s Light Cone.
Secret Vow S5 just few inches behind his LC
I personally gonna pul him cuz i like him, i will eventually close the MoC so no big deal speedruning it, cuz they give us too few jades
Im going character > LC bcs of f2p
I think a get more satisfaction from characters than 1 great dps with LC
you dont need his signature light cone too much arlan light cone is really good for him
and you can still hit 80% crit rate without his signature
It looks like he will really need Loucha. Heal Bailu is too unstable, and Natasha is too weak to play well with Blade. As a result, without Loucha in the team, you will have to repeat the room over and over again.
And do not forget about removing effects, which Bailu does not have. Also, many enemies are simultaneously vulnerable to wind and imaginary, which cannot be said about physical and lightning.
Without Loucha in the team, he probably isn’t even worth pulling.
Natasha can definitely work with him, she will just need to be fast enough. Blade doesn’t use many skill points so she should always have something to heal him with. You’re dead on about Bailu though. I dont think she’ll work with him well either. Luocha is definitely his best partner for sure.
secret vow? its kinda f2p and the herta shop light cone wont be that bad on him-he will be fine with secret vow if you have it
You wrong. Bailu will be good enough to keep him alive. She can buff Max HP by 10%, have good talent which compensate some damage received and give 10% dmg res to team. And also she can mass heal in moment of need, Locha on the other hand – just can’t. Your chara must deal dmg to heal from Loucha talent. Yeah in some cases cleanse is important, but not in most. And yeah, Loucha heal scales from ATK, so he can deal some dmg himself. But I don’t think you should focus on dmg from healer. Oh, and also Blade will have 7-8k Max HP in worst case. So even on 30% HP he will have around 2~2.5k. When hunters rarely have more than 3k, so chill, he’ll be alright.
Eidolons 2 effect stack up to 0 times? Typo?
Is it worth beat it out or not?
In terms of DPS, hes not in the same ballpark as Seele, so if you’re looking for the next Seele tier dps, you probably have to wait longer till Raiden potentially. He’ll still do decent damage, slightly better than Jing against 3 targets.
Only you can decide whether hes worth pulling for or not at the end of the day. Hes not gonna be meta defining by any stretch, but he can probably do some meme worthy or cool niche things that other chars arent able to thus far,
If you have 1+ DPS there is no point raising too many carries, but still decent DPS and awesome Wind coverage for a long term
I’ll say listen to your heart, u will clear content eventually, just choose whoever u think is dope in terms of VFX, Animations, Story
